Gotham City is a fictional American Metropolitan area that resembles New York City or Chicago.
This is a huge city loaded with millionaires, crime bosses, busy street life, criminal activity, and the fast-paced action that normally is a part of a large metropolitan area.
This is also the place where Batman has emerged. Throughout his youth and teenage years, Bruce became a smart student. He later learned how to fight.
He is also a billionaire, and he is the founder of the legendary Justice League working with heros such as Wonder Woman, Superman, The Flash and Aquaman.
When he became of age, he became the crime-fighting hero known as Batman. Now, the criminals in Gotham city fear and respect him. He strikes terror in bad guys all over the streets of Gotham.
Batman had made a reputation as one of the best crime fighters in Gotham. He also is known to take on meta-humans and foes from other worlds.
With The Joker as as his major archenemy, Batman is rated as one of the best superheroes of all time.
When Bruce Wayne was a young lad, he went out on a night with his parents. As they were returning home, they were confronted by a group of criminals. Both of his parents died that night.
Young Bruce was alone in the world. His butler, Alfred, was the only family he had. This incident caused Bruce Wayne to become committed to a life-long fight for justice and truth.
This was the inaugural year for Batman. When Bruce decided on becoming a costumed crusader, he chose a bat disguise. He chose the bat outfit because he remembered how a bat scared him to his core when he was a child. He believed that this same fear would be transferred to his enemies.
Since Batman had money and was extremely smart, he created gadgets and technology that would aid him in his quest to fight crime. He started out small taking out minor criminals in Gotham.
Batman eventually worked his way up to crime bosses. He told them that he would eliminate them. He followed through with his threat.
He also gained allies to aid him on this quest. Harvey Dent (who would become Two-Face) and Commissioner Gordon were members of the legal field that would help him with this crusade.
Batman was now ready to clean up the city of Gotham. Commissioner Gordon and Batman would soon become colleagues in fighting crime and cleaning up the streets of Gotham.
Shortly after Batman debuted, he became an instant hit in Gotham. People everywhere were catching on to who he is what he does.
The criminals in Gotham realized they needed to step up their game. Batman was too dangerous and good at fighting against them. Soon, powerful villains emerged.
They included the Catwoman, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Penguin, Dr Hugo Strange, and the Joker.
The Joker’s first encounter with Batman forced him to step up his crime-fighting game. The bat signal was created from this encounter.
Batman also fought other dangerous criminals in order to protect Gotham City.

Bane is one of the most ruthless criminals that Batman has encountered. At one point, Bane broke Batman’s back and left him without the ability to move.
Bane was then known as the villain who “broke the bat”. His name on Gotham streets became popular. He was now ready to rule all of Gotham’s underworld.
However, a new Batman had emerged, and he managed to drive Bane away even though he suffered tremendously during the ordeal.
He also fought against Darkseid, Steppenwolf, and Doomsday. These were among some of the worst villains that the Dark Knight encountered throughout his career. Once he joined the Justice League he fought against some truly ominous foes.
Batman and Superman are at the heart of the Justice League. When these two heroes teamed up to fight against alien invaders, they realized they needed to recruit other heroes.
The Justice League contacted other Metahumans and good alien beings. The Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter all teamed up to form the original Justice League.
Batman realized that they needed to form themselves into a permanent squad of heroes to protect the Earth from different threats.
Batman always had a sidekick in Robin. Robin’s backstory is the same as Batman’s sinc young Dick Grayson’s parents were also killed by criminals.
Robin was a little bit older than Batman when his parents died but Bruce Wayne felt empathy with his situation.
Batman then takes Grayson in and trains him to become a crime fighter. Dick Grayson then became the first Robin.
Barbara Gordon is Batgirl. In some stories, she is the niece of Commissioner Gordon or his niece. When Batgirl went out to fight crime she teamed up with Batman. However, she quickly lost the Cape Crusader’s respect when she couldn’t stop people in a holographic scenario from dying.
She fell out of favour with Batman and teamed up with the Canary. Batgirl’s legacy came to an end when she was shot in the back by the Joker. She then remerged as the Oracle.
Batman’s legacy cannot be denied. He lives on in cartoons, graphic novels, books, TV shows, and movies.
