Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
Yondu Udonta entered the MCU as leader of the exiled Ravager faction, the Centurians.
As a Ravager, Yondu was hired by a Celestial named Ego to capture Peter Quill from Earth and deliver him to Ego.
However Yondu decided to keep Quill and raise him as an adopted son. Peter Quill soon became a criminal named Star Lord who led the Guardians of the Galaxy.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a Raveger named Taserface led a mutany against Yondu and he became a prisoner of the Ravegers.
Joined by Rocket Racoon and Groot, Yondu escaped the prison and got revenge on Taserface.
Yondu then went on to help the Guardians of the Galaxy in their quest to defeat Ego.
While destroying the living planet of Ego, Yondu Udonta sacrificed himself to save Peter Quill by donating his spacesuit.
THe final scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 show the GOTG attending the funeral of Yondu and scattering his ashes into space.
During the funeral a fleet of Ravager ships appear to commemorate the fallen Ravager.
