Captain America In Marvel Comics

Steven Rogers, also known as Captain America, became the First Avenger after drinking a Super Soldier Serum.

The serum developed by doctor Abraham Erskin was given to Steven Rogers when he volunteered for Project Rebirth. Rogers had previously wanted to join the U.S. Army during World War II, but the Army had rejected him for health reasons.

Rogers, alongside The Invaders and Bucky Barnes, his best friend, helped lead the allies’ victory during the war.

Following his war effort, Captain America became frozen in ice after being lost at sea.

Having been found and thawed from the ice in the modern age, Captain America became a member of The Avengers.

Captain America has no affiliation with the government or politicians but is driven by principles of equality, freedom, and justice.

Captain America Joins the Avengers

Having superhuman abilities, Steven Rogers was recruited to the avengers as their first recruit and given the status of a founding member.

Steven rogers had good combat experiences, was well-trained, and had the will to prove a vital team member.

Over the years, He would be seen training his fellow avengers hand-to-hand combat, teamwork, and tactics.

He was a key member of the team as he was a natural leader and his commands would be followed by the other Avengers while in the field.

Captain America: The First Avenger

As Steven Rogers was growing up, He suffered from several problems, and despite having numerous attempts to join the army, he was rejected.

Abraham Erskine had developed a serum that Rogers volunteered for, giving him physical abilities closer to superhuman levels.

He was relegated to pose as a mascot after Erskine was assassinated due to doubts from Chester Philips, the SSR director.

In 1943 Rogers liberated prisoners from a HYDRA base by himself, thus rejoining the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR).

Rogers, as Captain America, became a legend due to his exploits in World War II. During this time, he developed a relationship with Peggy Carter, an SSR agent.

Captain America crashed into the Arctic as he was helping the allies win the war against Red Skull, the HYDRA leader. He spent sixty-six years in a state of suspended animation, frozen in ice.

S.H.I.E.L.D found him after spending sixty-six years frozen and unconscious. After waking up, He had no idea nor recognized anything in the new world.

The Avengers

Nick Fury enlisted Captain America to help to try and retrieve the Tesseract stolen by Loki in his attempt to destroy the world.

Steven Rogers, working with The Avengers, helped in the capture of Loki, stopped the invasion, and successfully retrieved the Tesseract.

As a counter operative for S.H.I.E.L.D, Rogers uncovered a conspiracy within the organization and the infiltration of HYDRA , who intended to bring a despotic world order by using Project Insight.

Captain America: Winter soldier

During World War II, Rogers thought that his best friend, Bucky Barnes, was killed, but he was the winter soldier who was brainwashed and physically upgraded by HYDRA.

Rogers ended the HYDRA uprising with the help of Black widow and Falcon. After reassembling the avengers, Rogers went on the attack against HYDRA and, in so doing, captured Baron Strucker.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Rogers and the Avengers came together to stop Ultron, a peacekeeping program created and designed by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. The artificial intelligence had gone rogue and was on the verge of wiping out humanity.

After the defeat of Ultron, some members of the Avengers left, leaving the Avengers team in the hands of Romanoff and Rogers, who chose to train and lead the new group.

Captain America: Civil war

The new Avengers failed to capture Crossbone in Nigeria despite carrying out international missions. A rift developed between Rogers and the co-leader Tony Stark after Rogers refused to sign the Sokovia accords.

Buck Barnes resurfaced as a primary suspect in the bombing of the ratification; this led to Rogers and his allies being fugitives as they assisted in the escape of Barnes.

The true mastermind was later uncovered as Helmut Zemo, whom Rogers confronted in Siberia.

Avengers: Infinity war

Vision became the target of Black Order and Thanos as they attacked Earth to gain the final Infinity Stone. As fugitives of the law, Rogers, Falcon, Black widow and Scarlet Witch came out from hiding to protect Vision.

When the country was under attack from the Black Order, Rogers came to its defence. Vision was brought to Wakanda by Rogers to have the mind Stone removed.

Thanos was not prevented from gaining the mind Stone and initiating the Snap, having a complete set of Infinity Stones.

Rogers survived after the Snap, which removed half the life from the universe.

Avengers: Endgame

The Avengers, with Rogers, finally killed Thanos on Planet 0259-S after a journey through space.

The avengers and Rogers made amends with Tony Stark after finding a way to travel through time safely; they managed to amass all the six infinity stones and returned with them.

To participate in the battle of Earth, Rogers took his old role of Captain America. He was deemed a worthy owner of Thor‘s Hammer, Mjolnir, which he used against Thanos and his army in combat.

To wipe out the armies of Thanos, Stark sacrificed himself, leading to the stones being returned to their timelines by Rogers.

While travelling through time, Steven Rogers decided to remain in the 1940s and marry Peggy Carter.

As he grew old, Rogers reunited with his friends before he entrusted his shield and mantle to Sam Wilson. Rogers disappeared into retirement, and his whereabouts remain unknown to the public.
