    Despite a few tonal growing pains, Titans does justice to its source material and truly shines when its titular ensemble finally assembles.

    Even if the violence and deviations turn viewers off (as they almost did for me), the quest these characters are on is engaging enough to keep even the most casual viewer intrigued and coming back for more.

    Titans is a superhero hybrid — a live-action series that essentially weds the CW’s DC Comics-inspired fare with the gritty, premium-cable approach… That’s not a bad formula, and it yields an entertaining, heavily serialized show.

    STREAM IT, especially if you’re a fan of Berlanti’s DC-related shows. It might be a bit darker than you like, with a bit less of a sense of humor than the others have, but it’s still well done.
